We all know how it feels when a pairless sock comes from the dryer. You don't know what to do with it. You sometimes want to keep it to make sure that if the other pair is also found, you can re-pair it with the sock and use it. Sometimes you just want to throw it away, thinking the other socks is long gone and will be gone forever. If you are experiencing one of the above, then these are some of the better uses you can try for your pairless sock.
1. Keep your car windows from fogging up with some kitty litter and socks
This is something that most people don't know but, you can actually keep the windows fogg-free using this quick method. Get some kitty litter and fill the socks to the ankle height. After that, secure the sock by doing a knot on the sock. Then, use another sock to cover it and then place it by your windshield or close to your cars window and there you go. The kitty litter will absorb the humidity inside the car and keep the windows from fogging.
2. White Board Cleaner
If you are a teacher, you can use this quick trick to have a reusable white board eraser. Using a sock will clean the board really good but not only that, you can wash the sock and then it will be reusable. This means you don't have to pay everytime your eraser gets old from using it all day. You can just use a sock to clean it and then wash it afterwards to get it clean everytime.
3. Protect Valuables When Moving

Anyway, besides those methods, you can also use a sock to protect your fragile items. Covering an item with a sock will make the item act as if it is staying inside a pillow. Go ahead, try it out!
4. Create a Stress Ball
If you cannot find the other pair, then this is the perfect use for a single sock. All you need is a play dough. Put some play dough inside a sock and then cover it up. This will make the sock and the play dough combo feel amazing in your hands and it is a total stress reliever.
5. Store Small Board Game Items
Some board games like Monopoly has some small items and they might get lost. Using a sock to store it inside makes it a lot safer and overall protected.
6. Dusting the House
A lot of old t-shirts are the main character of a dusting item. Many of the elders nowadays use t-shirts to clean the desks, ground and other surfaces on the house. You can add the socks to that old t-shirts collection. You don't have to pay anything to other different things in the store. Just use the old socks and you are good to go!
7. Use It As Ice Bags
Everyone knows how an ice bag feels when put on the skin. It burns like crazy! You can cover the part with some socks and then place the ice over it. This will dramatically decrease the burning and the ice will feel much better when used on the hurt spot.
8. Make a Homemade Hacky Sack

9. Create a Sweater For Your Pet
This one is the cutest. If you know how to cut and design your own things, and if you are comfortable using scissors, definently try to make your pet a cute sweater for the winter. Even though most pets are protected from the cold, a sweater can never go wrong in a cold day. Both for you and for your pet. You wear it so, why not use one for your pet?
